Pastry R&D Chef at Campbells, you will hold a pivotal position
in our culinary team, responsible for driving innovation and
inspiring excellence in the entire product development journey.
This role entails end-to-end involvement, from ideation and
prototyping through commercialization, scale-up, and occasionally,
attending production runs. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams, including product development, flavor
design, sensory, marketing, and leadership executives, to ensure
our products meet high-quality standards and delight our
customers.The Baking & Pastry R&D Chef is responsible for
leading culinary execution in the development and execution of new
and innovative salty snacks and bakery products. This includes
working closely with the research development, marketing,
communications, social media and sales teams to understand customer
needs and trends, and to create products that meet those needs. The
Baking & Pastry Research Chef must be able to lead culinary
responsibilities of the snacking division while also being able to
work across Business units and collaborate with other chefs within
R&D to inspire and bring new ideas and trends to life.Minimum
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry,
Food Science, or Grand Diploma in Pastry Arts5 years experience in
a baking & pastry chef rolePreferred Qualifications:Experience
successfully leading kitchens, teams, projects, and high-profile
culinary events.with presentations at large customer meetings with
many executives.Experience with food photography and
styling.Experience in a relevant CPG, food and ingredient
manufacturers.Primary Responsibilities:Bring extensive baking
expertise to create innovative snacks, bread, and cookie products,
from ideation to creating a gold standard to the assessment of
viability in large scale production.Stay updated with industry
trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences to drive
innovation.Provide strong leadership by being the culinary voice
within project teams, fostering a culture of creativity,
collaboration, and excellence.Collaborate with product development,
marketing, communications, social media, and sales teams to break
down customer & consumer needs and trends, creating products and
culinary gold standardsRepresent the company at high stake customer
meetings and events.Support of development of ideas and concepts to
fill the innovation pipeline and further provide guidance through
the execution of new snack and bakery products.Key Skills
Needed:Deep passion for baking with extensive knowledge of baking
science, ingredients, and techniques.Understanding how ingredients
work together and what different manufacturing techniques will do
to flavor expressions in food.Understanding of salty and savory
snacks processing technologies.Strong knowledge of various baking
and cooking techniques.Creative and innovative mindset with a
history of successful product development.Strong leadership and
communication skills, especially in large customer
meetings.Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for
this full-time, salaried position is
between$72,900-$117,300Individual base pay depends on work location
and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and
relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms
of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental,
401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of
