POSITION OVERVIEW:The Senior Director of Information Technology's primary responsibility is to oversee the IT, infrastructure, system engineering team, and cyber security compliance to ensure the Technology operations align with the organization's and business objectives and goals. This individual's principal goals are to develop and manage systems portfolio for each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization.The Senior Director of IT will plan, coordinate, direct, and design operational activities of the Technology department with a focus on network infrastructure, virtualized platforms (VMware), Windows and Linux servers, cloud computing, business applications, and cyber security protection as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Senior Director of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:Strategy & Planning

  • Formulate and deploy strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective technologies aligned with and in support of business and Technology objectives.
  • Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing, delivery and negotiating, as well as resource allocation and prioritization to ensure that Technology group meets short- and long-term objectives.
  • Establish and maintain data protection, compliance policies and maintain Enterprise BCP plan.Operational Management
    • Where necessary, re-engineering support to ensure it aligns with business processes and strategic goals of the organization.
    • This is a hands-on role, where the candidate would be expected to actively participate in day-to-day operation and administration of systems under their supervision and care.
    • Maintain and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to IT department head and key business stakeholders.
    • Develop and review operational and capital budgets to ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives of IT and the organization overall.
    • Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
    • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
    • Evolve and maintain BCP and IR plan and related data protection and recovery procedures for on-prem data centers and Cloud-based systems.
    • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs.
    • Oversee technology provision and technical support services for all IT clients: fans, end-users, tenants, and partners.
    • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, service provision.
    • Oversee relationship and administration of vendors, consultants, contract staff and service agreements.
    • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
    • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.QUALIFICATIONS:
      • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
      • Prior experience directly managing staff including recruitment, supervision, and development.
      • Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
      • Strong understanding, deep technical knowledge of and working experience with network, Windows and Linux server operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards, including MS AD (Active Directory), MSSQL, MS365, Azure, AWS, Extreme Networks, Firewalls and routing protocols.
      • Experience managing SIEM, MDR and XDR solutions and vendors.
      • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management.
      • Working experience with on-prem to cloud server migration.
      • Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
      • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
      • Prior IT experience in a sports and/or entertainment environment (preferred)
      • Strong leadership skills.
      • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
      • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
      • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
      • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
      • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.WORKING CONDITIONS:
        • Travel Requirements: This position requires occasional on-site engagement in three or more of our facilities (Newark, Philadelphia, Washington DC).
        • Work Environment: This position generally requires that work be performed from the Camden, NJ office but we will consider qualified applicants who may need to be based in our Newark, NJ office.
