• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Other certifications as required by unit description
  • Job Details
  • Registered Nurse position in CVICU
  • 36 hours per week, night shift
  • Start Date options: 10/21, 11/4
  • Manage dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care
  • Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
  • Care of ventilated patients, pacemaker management
  • Average daily census: 1-8 patients
  • Use of Cerner/med connect for charting
  • Pyxis medication system
    • Job Requirements
    • ACLS, BLS certifications required
    • 2 years of experience required
    • 1 prior travel assignment necessary (or screen if first timer)
    • Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Experience in assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
    • Able to care for ventilated patients
    • Experience with pacers, temporary pacers, and transvenous pacers
    • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
      • Schedule Information
      • 4 call shifts in a 6-week schedule
      • Required to work every third weekend
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Total Staffed Beds/Rooms: 8
          • Additional Details
          • Must have the Flu vaccine
          • May come into contact with Covid Patients
          • Navy blue scrub color
          • Communication: SBAR / shift note
